1、Canteen information
There are two large canteens in the university, including the Xuezi Canteen and Xueyuan Canteen. Xuezi Canteen is located on the north side of Luhai Building (6th Student Dormitory) and on the east side of Juhai Building (9th Student Dormitory). Xuezi Canteen has four floors. The western style restaurant called Ouyaxuan is located on the south of the first foor. Ouyaxuan restaurant, while providing western food, regularly organizes western food culture activities; there is a dumpling restaurant in the second floor, which mainly sells buns and dumplings; there is a halal restaurant on the third floor; and there is a buffet restaurant on the fourth floor. Xueyuan Canteen is located on the north side of Yihai Building (1st Student Dormitory) and on the east side of Shanhai Building (the 3rd Student Dormitory). Xueyuan Canteen has two floors. There is regular food on the first floor and snacks on the second floor. In addition, there are also snacks in the student service center to meet the needs of different students. Tian Ya Xuan Restaurant is located near the International Student Dormitory and provides banquet and catering services for teachers and students.

2、 Banks
There are ATM machines of Bank of China and ICBC at the hall located in the west wing of the Main Building. There is also an ICBC self-service area at the Student Service Center. Branches of other banks and Postal Savings Bank of China can be found in Gao District.

Once your package arrives, the staff at the express delivery spot will send an express number to your mobile phone. Please go to the express delivery spot which is located near the student restaurant and show it to the staff to pick up your package.
4、 Transportation & Shopping
Student service center is the shopping area in the university. There are stores, industrial and commercial bank of China, baths, China Mobile Service Center, China Unicom service center, Telecom service center, cake shop, western-style fast food shop, fruit shop, shop selling digital electronic products, barber shops, dry cleaners, typing copy shop, etc. The students service center opens 7:00-23:00. On the north side of the stadium, there is a small shop run by the student union.
A large supermarket located at the intersection of the Wenhua Road outside the south gate of the university. The bus stop of Harbin Institute of Technology is located at the east side of traffic light at the junction of Harbin Institute of Technology road and Wenhua road.
For shopping or entertaining, you can take bus No.7 or K2 eastward from the south gate of the University to Weigao Shopping Mall, Lotte Department Store and Hualian Shopping Mall (downtown area); or take bus No.7 or K2 westward to Liqun Shopping Mall and beaches; or you can take bus No. 17 from the south gate of the University to Weihai World Shopping Mall, Youyi Shopping Mall and Weisheng Shopping Mall.
For travelling, you can take bus K1 or K2 eastward from the south gate of the University to the Coach Station or Weihai Railway Station; or take bus No. 48 or K2 to the direction of Huangjiazao to Weihai North Railway Station.
The flag-down fare for taxi in Weihai is RMB ¥8 (including the first 2km) during the daytime; during the nighttime (22:00-5:00 next morning), the flag-down fare is RMB ¥9 (including the first 2km).

5、 Ticket service outlets
We suggest that air tickets and train tickets should be booked online. The ship tickets and airport buses cannot be booked online at present, and they need to be booked at the booking outlets. There is a booking outlet near jiajiayue supermarket on Harbin Institute of Technology Road near the school gate. You can also take bus No. 7 and No. 12 at the Harbin Institute of Technology bus station to the west of Liqun shopping mall. There is an outlet on the first floor.
6、 Bath service
The student bath is located at the east gate of the first floor of the student service center. The fee is 0.3 yuan per minute.
Opem hours: Monday 12:30-22:30 (morning maintenance);
Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 -- 22:30 (no entry after 22:00).
